Gumi Urban Regeneration
Design Competition for the regeneration of Gumi City. 2nd Prize.
The project aims to re-vitalise derelict industrial site, located at the heart of former Gumi Industrial complex. The surrounding area was originally developed in 1970s and currently experiencing industrial decline with rapidly reducing population. The proposal includes incubating facilities for start-up companies, which will be based on the legacy of more than 50 years of manufacturing industry, ranging from electronics, machinery, and textile etc. Other functions include public housing, medical & public health SOC, and amenities for the community.
