Proposed design for the new National Bank of Kazakhstan draws its inspiration from the culture of Kazakhstan and the tradition of jewellery being used to denote status and wealth. This tradition, which is still alive today, spans centuries and has its roots in the nomadic lifestyle of the early Kazakh’s who used jewellery to express their spiritual richness and wealth, and give form to their wishes for prosperity, protection, happiness and welfare through the use of precious stones.
